When I think of moving to my next life,
I always wonder if I will leave behind
Tears of sorrow as I draw my last breath.

Have I in my temporal existence
Touched anyone in a special way,
Have I made real friends
Who would be sad if I died today?

Would they sit in silence and grieve
Over my departure from this world.,
Has my wit you smile,
Or my humour made you laugh?
Had I shared my wisdom
That helped you feel strong?
Did I accomplish something remarkable
That leaves a siginificant mark?

Is there anything about me
That you will always cherish,
Did I leave behind a part of me
That you will treasure in your heart?

For when my life is over
And I leave this world behind,
I'd like to know if I lived it well
And made a difference in this life.
