A winter Walk
As i step outdoors, the frosty air does grip.
My lungs beathe in the cold air.
The sun is out in all its glory.
Snow lays about,a winter wonderland.
As i step thru the snow, the birds do sing.
The Chickadees take one the Finch take many.
The Sun is setting oh what a sight.
I walk to the lake, all frozen with ice.
As i step on the ice a hawk does circle.
The cold is gripping.my clothes are all tight.
The sun is aglow ,below the horizon.
I see ahead a wall of snow.
As i retread my steps, the squall is here.
My sight fails me. the snow is bad.
The Sun is gone.i fear i am lost.
But low and behold,i see a faint light.
As i step on my deck, i see a clearing.
The squall is gone, the birds are back.
The sun has set,but i am aglow
For my pup and i love this land anew.
